Hi. I’m Zoie, a UI & UX Game Designer.
Let me bring your players a smooth and engaging experience.

Why make games?

I'm passionate about making games because I love playing games. I want to bring that experience to other people..
I focus on UI/UX Game Design because the most important thing to me when making or playing games is how the game feels to play. I want to make games people enjoy playing, and a large part of a player's opinion is formed by how the game feels to play, and what their experience is like.

Outside of games

Outside of games, I love to engage in creative hobbies. I enjoy Visual Arts both traditional and digital, and I used to teach introductory art classes to elementary & middle school students. I even gave a TEDx talk on Art and Design!
I also do crochet (amigurumi), resin art (charm making), and jewelry making :)

  • Designed wireframes of menu layouts and HUDs in Figma, focusing on clarity and smooth flow for simultaneous navigation by up to four players

  • Created wireframes for different HUDs based on player count, designed to support gameplay without distracting from the game world

  • Tested using interactive prototypes in Unreal Engine to ensure mechanics are intuitive and player onboarding is not overwhelming

  • Collaborated with 10+ artists and led discussions to resolve conflicts between the art direction and design needs

  • Adapted menu designs to support changes in design direction by integrating the characters and narrative elements

Snowkoball

2D Puzzle Game | Solo Project | Unity Engine

Snowkoball is a puzzle game inspired by the Sokoban (box-pushing) genre.The puzzles are vertical, which adds a different twist - gravity means the snowballs fall off cliffs, and the player can only hover a few spaces above ground.

What is a snowman?
A snowman is two snowballs stacked on top of each other, with the top one having two dots horizontally aligned and the bottom one having two dots vertically aligned.
Snowballs change orientation when they roll, which adds another layer to the puzzles.

Some levels will be tricky, but an Undo Button means you can experiment and make mistakes as you solve the puzzles.Push, roll, and carry snowballs to turn them all into snowmen! And for a bonus challenge, try to collect all the snowflakes in each level!
